Bred in Australia by Sigrid Mathew (now Mortensen) and Ross Mathew, Dallas's exceptional type and structure earned him a Best Minor Puppy in show at the Border Collie Club of Victoria Show in 1997. After being imported to America in 1998, Dallas finished his championship impressively, with 4 consecutive major wins. During his career as a Special, Dallas compiled 68 group placements and 5 group ones, 3 Awards of Merit at the Westminster Kennel Club, an impressive Best of Breed win at the Border Collie Club of New England Supported Entry (a regional specialty), and a Best in Specialty Show win at the Kentuckiana Border Collie Club. He has proven to be a fabulous producer with limited breedings. Among numerous champions, Dallas's offspring actively participate in and show their true instincts in herding, agility, and obedience.
